Your NIR renewed every year, reminder included
Registration in the Registre des propriétaires et des exploitants de véhicules lourds is updated every year. A heavy vehicle can only be on the road with an up-to-date registration. We handle the renewal, with a reminder before the deadline.
NIR, IFTA, IRP and Bill 430
Registry renewal, IFTA decals and licence, IRP registration to travel outside Quebec, and training on Bill 430 obligations. Your file is followed from one year to the next.

As soon as financing is involved, the transaction goes through a licensed dealer. Lavoie Transit holds that licence: RDPRM search, documents required by the SAAQ, and payment settled within the transaction.

What exactly does Lavoie Transit do?
Truck financing, permits, compliance, business start-up and heavy vehicle transfers. All five go through the same office and the same team.
I don't have a business yet. Where do I start?
With a phone call. The start-up package covers incorporation, registration and the NIR, insurance, truck financing and training on Bill 430. Your file is built from your situation.
Can I finance a first truck with no business history?
Yes, it is a common case. The choice of lender matters more, and that is where our support helps. J. Lavoie Finance, part of the same group, works with a wide range of lenders.
Why does the NIR need to be renewed every year?
Anyone who puts a heavy vehicle on the road or operates one in Quebec must be registered with the Commission des transports, and the registration is updated every year to remain valid. Our renewal service takes care of it, with a reminder before the deadline.
What is an accommodation sale?
A transaction where a licensed dealer steps in between two parties to produce the documents required for registration. It becomes mandatory as soon as financing is involved. Lavoie Transit holds the SAAQ dealer licence.
